 I'm a relative of Leander Jeffries and I was going to make a web site for my mom to put picketers of the family up and see if any relatives would respond but I don't really know how successful that would be. Have you guys ever got any distant relatives to respond here? |

I really don't know much my mom is the one that knows this stuff but I had really asked if you had ever had people from you're own family line come here and respond. My mom wants a site were she may get other relatives to notify her that they either know or are related to some one in a photo. She used to be on genealogy but it got to expensive.

I think all of us have met new relatives on this site. It is a wonderful thing! I would certainly encourage you to make a site for your family. I think you would be surprised who you might find!

I WOULDN'T DISCOURAGE YOU FROM CREATING A WEBSITE OF YOUR OWN, BUT YOU SHOULD SIGN UP/LOG IN AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS SITE...THERE ARE MANY GOOD RESEARCHERS AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE HERE...

I have made several family websites (as you can see in my signature). I have had varying degrees of success, but for the Trudell site, I have met a lot of relatives, and I have even recieved a lot of help from people who are unrelated also.
Just be patient. It may take months for people to find your site, but I think it is worth it.

I appreciate the help and tips you guys have given, by the way what is the layout like on the roots web site? I try to stay away from layouts that look complicating and confusing. My mom plans to watch me set the site up so it can't be vary complicated.
